In Long Beach, the best-known bakeries and bagel shops have lines on weekend mornings, so arrive early or order ahead where the shop offers it. Across California, immigrant bakeries add Mexican pan dulce, Vietnamese banh mi bread, Chinese buns, Middle Eastern sweets and European rye to the mix, and many gluten-free and vegan bakeries have opened in larger cities. Check the listing for hours, whether the shop accepts custom cake orders and its Google rating before you go, and call about allergens, since small kitchens often share equipment. Day-old bread and end-of-day discounts are common if you ask.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 4 amβ10 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. Rude, unwelcoming and forgot to include a sandwich I paid for. Not sure if it is a language issue but the lady that helped me was not very helpful, if anything just rude and unhelpful as it was my first time there I don't know the menu. Besides the rudeness I had paid and she gave me my bag and walked away from the register. My fault assuming that everything was in there but I walked out the door and went home not realizing that there was only tamales and not the sandwich I ordered as well. I feel like most resturants won't give you a bag unless it's ready or they'll tell you still grabbing..... Again my fault for assuming but be a good employee and give a shout telling me the sandwich or something. So due to her rudeness and the fact I got jipped of a $12 sandwich I will not be returning.

Very clean with a nice, quiet atmosphere. The food is really good, and they have lots of fresh pastries and cakes to choose from. They also offer breakfast items. 10/10 recommend!

I bought the rosca de Reyes in the morning around 10am, and it stayed fresh, moist, and delicious until we cut into it around 9pm. The medium rosca ($32) came with two baby figurines and was more than enough for seven adults, with leftovers to take home. Highly recommend!

Walked in asked if they sold something similar to a French baguette, but they only have the big rounder rolls. Bummer, but I love bread - βpan dulceβ so I bought 4 of the cookie breads with the chocolate chips on top and 1 strawberry shortcake roll. Has to be the most expensive stale pan dulce Iβve ever purchased to date. It was 10.25 for ehhβ pan dulce. Maybe their food is better as the lady was pushing I buy a meal in the morning, but I was just inquiring about baguettes. Simply put, this Bakery cannot bake I would recommend looking anywhere else for pan dulce.
